Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL)

An individual who is licensed to engage in the business of manufacturing, importing and/or dealing in firearms. Persons must be licensed by the ATF to engage in the business of firearms.

Ammunition Transfer

Buying ammo online that is hard-to-find, special, or just a "good deal" is convenient, but requires an FFL to facilitate in California.

General Process Overview

Easy 4 Step Process

While there are many details that must be strictly followed in the transfer process, here are the 4 basic steps involved with transferring firearms and ammunition in California.

Purchase Item Online

Check that the item is California compliant.  If you have questions, please contact us before you complete the purchase.

Initiate Transfer Transaction

On our website, select the type of transfer process you would like to initiate. Provide your information and the purchase details.

Transfer Processing

We receive your firearm and contact you to start DROS and 10-day waiting period. Ammo pickup is usually same day.

Pickup your firearm

Once DROS is approved, we contact you to complete the safe handling demonstration and pickup the firearm.
